Kentico CMS + Bootstrap Website – AMT

Summary

This project aimed to transform and elevate the online presence of the The Atlantic Meridional Transect (AMT) by developing a modern, user-friendly, and informative website. The existing website, while functional, lacked contemporary design elements, optimal user experience, and comprehensive content presentation. The project’s objective was to address these shortcomings and provide a platform that effectively serves the needs of AMT’s users, stakeholders, and the broader science community.

Goals

  1. User-Centric Design: The development process prioritized user experience by implementing an intuitive navigation system, clear information architecture, and responsive design. This ensures that visitors can easily access relevant information regardless of their device or screen size.
  2. Comprehensive Content: The website’s content was restructured and expanded to provide a comprehensive resource hub for manufacturing professionals. This included sections for industry news, research articles, technical resources, event listings, and member profiles.
  3. Responsive Design: Their previous website wasn’t responsive so didn’t work on mobiles or tablets – this was one key issue they wanted to change.

Outcomes

The project resulted in a fully transformed AMT website that achieved its goals of modernisation and user-centric design. The new website has a visually appealing layout, streamlined navigation, and an intuitive interface that enhances user experience. The comprehensive content sections provide valuable resources for science professionals in an easy to use way.
