WordPress website update

Project Summary:

As a part of this recent project, I undertook the task of updating an existing WordPress website to improve its user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), enhance the page speed, and implement an easier back-end editor. The primary goal was to provide the website users with a seamless experience while navigating through the website while also ensuring that the website administrators can easily manage the website content.

UI/UX Improvements:

I began by conducting a thorough analysis of the website to identify the pain points that needed improvement. Based on the analysis, I redesigned the website to provide a modern and visually appealing UI that enhanced the overall user experience. I also revamped the website’s colour scheme, typography, and layout to ensure that the website was visually appealing, easy to navigate, and provided users with a seamless experience.

Page Speed Optimization:

I conducted a thorough analysis of the website’s loading time and identified the factors that were slowing down the website using Lighthouse. I implemented several strategies to optimize the website’s page speed, including optimizing the images, leveraging browser caching, and minimizing the server response time. Our efforts resulted in a significant improvement in the website’s page speed, reducing the loading time by over 50%.

Easier Back-End Editor:

Another key factor was that the website’s administrators needed an easier and more intuitive way to manage the website’s content. To address this, I implemented a more user-friendly and intuitive back-end editor that allowed the administrators to update and manage the website’s content with ease. The new editor had a simple and straightforward interface, making it easier for the administrators to create and publish new content.

The outcome:

Our efforts resulted in a significant improvement in the website’s overall user experience and page speed. The website’s users now have a more seamless and visually appealing.
