The client came to me knowing exactly what she wanted for her new consultancy website. A clear vision, but no way to make it happen in WordPress. My job was to take that vision and turn it into a polished, professional site that would speak directly to her audience: museum directors and cultural institution leaders who needed to trust her instantly.
MCC Strategy operates in a niche, high-value sector where credibility is everything. The site needed to feel authoritative and calm, not corporate and cold, while clearly communicating a very specific offer across a tight five-to-ten page structure.
I built the site in WordPress, handling everything from initial setup through to typography, layout, imagery sourcing, and content structure. The design leans into a refined, understated aesthetic that reflects the cultural sector MCC serves, with clean architecture, considered whitespace, and imagery drawn from the world of museums and galleries. The overall tone mirrors the client’s own approach: structured, rigorous, and quietly confident.
One of the key design decisions was the “How I Work” process section, which breaks the methodology down into four clear stages: Diagnose, Design, Deliver, Embed. For an audience accustomed to navigating governance and accountability structures, this kind of clarity goes a long way. It shows prospective clients exactly what working with MCC looks like before they ever pick up the phone.
The site launched to positive feedback, and the client now manages it independently, which was one of the goals from the outset. With a clear content structure and a platform she’s comfortable in, she has full ownership of her online presence going forward.
